Hello, and thanks for visiting a page I have created all about....ME! I have been a Keith Whitley Fan Club representative for about 10 years now, and its been a real HONOR meeting all the great KW fans from all over the world. I am very grateful for the close relationship with Keiths family that I have had for those years. They have adopted me and taken me in as one of their own. Keith has given me so much through his music, through his memories, but most of all, through his spirit. Keith has given me the greatest friends that I could ever ask for, and for that, I will ALWAYS try my best to keep his memory and his music alive!!!

A little about the music that I love.....

Being born in 1969, I am very grateful for the wide variety of music that I have been exposed to. I was raised on COUNTRY music, and very proud to say that it remains my favorite. Although, I like to crank up some Good Time ROCK'n'ROLL as well.

It all started with one of my all-time favs, CONWAY TWITTY. The first song that I was ever to sing the words to was Conways "I see the want to in your eyes". Yea, I'll admit, 3 years old, the lyrical content I didnt understand, but I sure do now. My Mom and Dad got me interested in CONWAY, GEORGE JONES, MERLE HAGGARD, WAYLON JENNINGS, CHARLEY PRIDE, LORETTA LYNN, CHARLIE RICH, RONNIE MILSAP, JOHN DENVER, and so many more that I cant possibly list.

As years went on, I went on to listen to My Favorite, ALABAMA. I have been hooked on them since the first time I heard TENNESSEE RIVER. ALABAMA along with a local band that almost hit the big time, McGUFFEY LANE (look for their link below), were the two bands that influenced me to actually start playing music. I played drums for years for my own pleasure, but sold them back in '91 and havent played since.

My sister introduced me to ROCK music. Starting with AC/DC, and went on to My fav Rock band, LYNYRD SKYNYRD. She also got me into the likes of JOURNEY, R.E.O. SPEEDWAGON, MOLLY HATCHET, FOGHAT, and many more.

To fill in the gaps from what I grew up on, to what I listen to now, is really a strange variety. These are a few more artists to fill in the gaps. THE BEE GEES, LIONEL RICHIE, GREAT WHITE, TESLA, OZZY, BRYAN ADAMS, MICHAEL BOLTON, FLEETWOOD MAC/STEVIE NICKS, BON JOVI, CINDERELLA, CHICAGO, KISS, AEROSMITH, ROD STEWART, and many, many more. I'll even go as far as to say that i like a few songs from the group, N'SYNC. Possibly because they sang with ALABAMA???

My COUNTRY tastes are wide spread as well. TRADITIONAL, is my favorite. I listen to TRAVIS TRITT, ALAN JACKSON, VINCE GILL, BRYAN WHITE COLLIN RAYE, KEN MELLONS, DARYLE SINGLETARY, WESLEY DENNIS, GEORGE STRAIT, SARA EVANS, MARTINA McBRIDE, DWIGHT YOAKAM, SAMMY KERSHAW, LORRIE MORGAN, ANDY GRIGGS, KENTUCKY HEADHUNTERS, EXILE, and again, the list just goes on and on....

I have to use this space to say THANK GOD for ALAN JACKSON and GEORGE JONES for KINDLY KEEPIN IT COUNTRY!!!

I am a BIG fan of ALL 80's music. Back then on COUNTRY radio, they would play a contemporary song like ALABAMA's "SHE & I" and then follow it with G.JONES's "WHO'S GONNA FILL THEIR SHOES". Now a days, VINCE GILL can record a traditional COUNTRY album, (Best of the year and his career), and yet they wont play it because they say that it is.....TOO COUNTRY! It reminds me of a quote that Keith Whitley made one time when they said he was too country, he replied "What business am I in anyway"?

I HATE RAP! Can ya believe that they go as far as to even consider that music???

99% of the alternative ROCK I cant stand! Although I do like, Matchbox 20, Tonic, Collective Soul, Oasis, and a a couple others I can tolerate.

So there ya go, these are just my opinions. I am just a long haired, traditional, COUNTRY-fied redneck, that likes to let his hair down sometimes and turn up some good ol' ROCK'n'ROLL.
